Privacy Policy

Effective date: 18 July 2026

Claim & Auction Reminder is a browser extension that lets you create local desktop reminders for claim sale start times and auction end times. This policy explains what information the extension handles and how it is used.

Information the extension handles

The extension handles only the information you enter or generate while using its reminder features:

  • reminder type (Claim Sale or Auction);
  • reminder title;
  • claim start time or auction end time;
  • notification timing, such as the exact event time or a selected number of minutes beforehand;
  • the website link you choose to save with the reminder;
  • reminder status and notification history; and
  • appearance preferences, such as Light or Dark mode.

The extension does not request your name, email address, Google account, Facebook account, passwords, payment information, precise location or contacts. It does not read Facebook posts, page contents or your general browsing history.

How the information is used

The information is used only to provide the extension’s single purpose: saving, scheduling, displaying and managing the reminders you create. A saved link is opened in a new browser tab only when you select Open now or interact with the corresponding notification.

Storage and sharing

Reminder information and preferences are stored locally in your browser using Chromium’s extension storage. The extension does not transmit this information to the developer or to any third party. It contains no analytics, advertising, tracking, remote code or developer-operated server connection. The developer does not sell, rent or share user information.

If you open a saved link, the destination website operates under its own privacy policy. Claim & Auction Reminder does not read or collect the contents of that website.

Browser permissions

The extension uses these permissions only for its reminder features:

  • Alarms — schedules reminders and restores their schedules when the browser restarts.
  • Notifications — displays desktop reminder and test notifications.
  • Storage — keeps reminders, reminder history and appearance preferences in the browser until you remove them.

The extension does not request access to all websites or to your browsing history.

Retention and deletion

Information remains in the browser until you delete the relevant reminder or history item, clear the extension’s stored data, or uninstall the extension. Uninstalling the extension removes its locally stored information from that browser profile.

Data security

Because the extension does not send information to a developer-operated server, there is no developer database containing your reminder information. You should still avoid entering sensitive personal information in reminder titles or links and keep your browser profile and device secure.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if the extension’s data practices change. Any revised policy will be published on this page with a new effective date.
